PS Family NYC Family Child Care Network is a support system created to give every child in Brooklyn and Queens support in-home childcare. Through their network of providers, they can offer families with babies and toddlers’ access to low cost or free in-home care.

This organization wanted to create a socially inviting office space in New York that would emulate their company’s mission and values in the spatiality and aesthetics of their working environment. 

The narrow office layout reveals a central, long corridor that extends through the office. We utilized office glass walls to define the individual office suites, and to enhance the space by highlighting a sense of unity and transparency between the rooms. In optimizing the minimalist approach to the interior, we specified sleek seamless glass walls with black frames and frameless glass doors.

A virtually omnipresent warm wood texture follows you around in this vibrant office space. It is on the office floor, desktop surfaces, collaborative tables, and floor to ceiling bookshelves. The vertical greenery and thick, natural wood slabs of these bookshelves add an organic touch to the austere interior design. 

Warm, natural textures are contrasted by cool hue accents throughout the office space. Striking translucent green acrylic lamps populate the office ceiling, reflecting on our office glass walls, creating a playful sparkle all through the entire office space.

The client agreed that when it came to translating their values into their new office interiors it was a successful case of mission (and vision) accomplished.
