Statement
LeFrak is one of our longest running in-house accounts, cared for by our Senior Project Manager Raluca. They’re a family-owned real estate & investment firm with a large residential & commercial portfolio, striving to enhance living and working environments through development.
The Lefrak team wanted ideas on how to create privacy in an open plan office for their 14,000sf office space in Queens, NY. They required new office furniture in certain areas, and a reconfiguration of existing office furniture pieces in others.
It was important to preserve aspects of their open plan collaborative office. But they wanted to make sure that by encouraging collaboration opportunities, their office furniture layout didn’t also result in unintended distractions and lack of focus, which can be a tricky pitfall in open office designs. But one that can be easily avoided with the power of multi-height office dividers!
We grouped together teams of managers and their assigned staff by mixing and matching a combination of fabric and glass panel partitions in various heights. The tallest office panels serve as perimeters to help define adequate privacy around each team.
67” tall office partitions separate the manager workstations from the other cubicles and print stations. These 10’x12’ open office cubicles are large enough to accommodate u-shaped desks and space for visitor seating for informal discussions. Their tall cubicle walls hold overhead storage cabinets with LED task lighting.
At the other end of the cubicle “screen separation spectrum,” 39 inch low cubicle walls with windows surround smaller u-shaped cubicles to encourage easy interaction and collaboration among team members.
Earthy sand colored fabric, crisp white metal storage cabinets and trim, and white desktops create a sharp & sophisticated office color scheme in LeFrak’s collaborative office space and they were once again incredibly pleased with the outcome of our office interior design services.
